What you need to know:

  • Starring Richard Armitage, James Callis, Graham McTavish.
  • The show is based on a classic video game I never played and now never will

I’ve been meaning to get to this show, which I had assumed was a simple anime series about everyone’s favourite mythical creature – Dracula. Ok, he is right up there with werewolves.

Don’t let the animation interface fool you though – these guys still manage to draw quite a gory show, revolving around a human civilisation pitted against the wrath of Dracula when they kill his human wife.

Intending to kill them all after such a grievous sin, he sends a horde from hell to wipe out every moving and breathing thing.

But of course, there is always that one guy who is determined to stand up to such impossible-to–beat creatures.

Question is, how do you stop a supernatural being with a veritable hades-sized hatchet?

The show is based on a classic video game I never played and now never will. The cartoon is enough, thank you.
