TAKE 5 with May wairimu

May Wairimu is one of those actresses who started acting because a friend forced her to audition. The rest, as they say, is history.

Not only does she love acting, she loves being behind the scenes of productions as well, as she has studied TV and Film Production.

You know her face from  Lies that Bind, and Bold Conversations, currently showing on KBC. 

1. What’s your favourite show, one you have acted in and that you watched?

My favourite TV show to watch, and which I am currently in is Bold Conversations. It’s on KBC. I also love Modern Family. 

2   What do you do to chill, and when’s the last time you did it? 

I love to watch series; I am also addicted to the gym. The last series I watched was on Labour Day. I go to the gym six days a week. It’s so addictive! I resumed working out about two months ago. I never thought I was a gym person until I forced myself to go back after a year’s absence, but now I am loving it. 

3 Do you think women can be on Team Mafisi too?

Yes, I think we can. We are in the 21st century and many things have changed. It’s crazy! 

4 What do you think is the one thing that can be done to uplift actors in our industry?

I think doing research for roles is important. It makes the difference between a good actor and a great actor. 

5 When is the last time you did something illegal and what was it?

Illegal? not me. I’m a stickler for rules!
