What you need to know:

  • She is required to use everything in her power to do so, be it her looks or her killer moves, to try to unearth the secrets of her supervisor, her agency, while trying to keep her own to herself.
  • Theron is great in this movie, which she also produced. And she did her own stunts!

Lorraine Broughton is a resourceful, intelligent, gorgeous spy who is sent to Berlin in the 80s to recover an extremely important file from an agent of the MI6 whose cover has been blown.

She is required to use everything in her power to do so, be it her looks or her killer moves, to try to unearth the secrets of her supervisor, her agency, while trying to keep her own to herself.

But trying to do the right thing has consequences, especially when the right thing isn’t benefiting your enemies, who are intent on killing you.

Theron is great in this movie, which she also produced. And she did her own stunts!

The Cold War propaganda and German stereotypes irritated me somewhat, but overall, I liked the grimy cinematography and the banging 80s-influenced soundtrack.

And of course, the outfits!
