A-List celebrities targeted in hacking scandal

What you need to know:

  • One confirmed victim of the hack is 'Final Destination' actress Mary E. Winstead, who took to Twitter to voice her anger.

  • She wrote: "To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves.

Pictures of the Oscar-winning actress have appeared over the internet, with reports suggesting that an anonymous hacker was able to post the images after gaining access to the actress' mobile phone via Apple's online storage system iCloud.

A spokesperson for Lawrence, 24, confirmed the authenticity of the photos, adding: "This is a flagrant violation of privacy.

"The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."

Pictures of the 'Hunger Games' actress in various states of undress have been posted on the bulletin board website 4chan.
