The 33-year-old singer chose the eve of her fourth wedding anniversary on Thursday to announce she and husband Swizz Beatz - with who she has three-year-old son Egypt - are expecting their second child together.

Alongside an instagram picture of herself and her spouse in which she can be seen cradling her growing bump, she wrote: "Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizzz !!.

"And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!! You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life! (sic)"

Her 35-year-old producer husband - who has two other children from previous relationships - posted another picture from the same photoshoot and shared his excitement for their impending new addition to the family.

He wrote: "Love is life & life is love and we're so excited for another GIFT from up above Happy Anniversary my Goddess 4 years of greatness & cheers to 100 plus more inshallah. (sic)"

It is unclear yet when the couple will welcome their baby into the world, but back in November the 'Empire State of Mind' singer admitted they would consider having another child in the future.
Asked if Egypt wanted a sibling, she said: "I bet he does. Not right now, but never say never."
