BET scouts Kenya for Top Actor Africa reality show

The newly refurbished Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi last Saturday played host to a stellar cast of the next generation of continental stars.
From the well-established actors to the new aspiring stars, they all turned up for auditions to the BET hit reality show Top Actor Africa.

The turnout saw youth from all Kenya, Uganda and even Nigeria to try their chance at taking their talent to the next level.

Some of the actors and actresses that that have graced the screen before included: Kevin Maina best known for the 'Makmende' music video, Mugambi Nthiga from the film ‘Nairobi Half Life, Mumbi Maina the buxom beauty from ‘Mali’, Nick Ndeda and Linda Onzere the ‘Hostel’ series who travelled from Uganda.

12 finalists from the continent, will further compete for their chance to win Sh10 million (10,000USD), and a one-year contract with an international representative who will serve as an agent with access to Hollywood auditions.

The show is scheduled to go on air in February 2016 on BET channel 129 on DStv.
