G-Dash's innocent message for the youth

It seems like yesterday since Justus Igesa alias G-dash first burst onto the music scene.

However, it has been eight years and in this time, he has worked both as a musician and producer with a galaxy of star artistes like Juliani, Sharama and Abbas among others.

“I have done albums for Ukoo Flani, Sharama, Cannibal, Abbas Kubaff and Shuba Clan just to list a few,” he says.

His career began in 2006 when he recorded his first single ‘Rafiki’, a song that received massive airplay by local radio stations.

INNOCENT LIFE

During this period that he signed with Headbangaz studio, and for the first time got to work with the likes of Abbas, Sharama and Canibal among others.

“Internationally, I have had a chance to work with artistes like Tumi and the Volume from South Africa,” he explains.

He also prides in having worked with a number of producers like Dirty Damu, Jay Preme and Chizzen Brain among many others.

The songs in the album touch on every day’s life and have a massage that he hopes will positively impact the youth.

He also hopes to one day work with great names in music internationally.

“I really would like to one day work with K’Naan, Skwatta Camp and Pro Kid from South Africa, Nigerian sensation D banj’ and American rappers Ludacris, Kanye West and Common among others,” he says.
