Controversial Bongo Flava star Hussein Machozi has slammed rumours that he is unwell and that he was once caught in bed with a prominent Coast politician who gave him a thorough beating and gave him 24 hours to leave the country.

Machozi was until recently based in Mombasa, Kenya. He has since relocated to Tanzania. Speaking to one of their local radio stations, he said:

“That’s not how things happened. I had gone to the hotel to meet a female promoter to square out on a certain deal. She signs out artistes and then organises shows for them and that was the nature of the deal. While we were going about with the business discussion, several men stormed the hotel and stated causing havoc. When things turned ugly, I managed to escape unhurt. There was totally nothing between me and the lady in question."

"I think the promoter never informed her partner the nature of our meeting and when he was tipped he thought otherwise,” he added.

Machozi said that he was never married to the Kenyan woman from the Coast who works in the county government as it had been reported.

“Without a doubt I can assure you that I am not married and neither was I to the Kenyan lady as it was put. The woman I have a future with is here in Tanzania and all I can say is that we were just flirting,”

He added;

“There has been so much bad news about me during my stay in Kenya. When I came back home I have heard of rumours that I was very sick while I was in Kenya, I just want to categorically say that I am fit as a fiddle.”
