Ommy Dimpoz: Wema Sepetu and I are just working together

Renowned bongo flava artiste Ommy Dimpoz has said that he doesn’t think his long-time close friend Diamond Platinumz has a problem with him “working” with his ex-girlfriend Wema Sepetu.

Pictures of Ommy and Wema getting cosy have surfaced on the blogosphere and social sites, adding fuel to speculation that the two are an item.

Some of Diamond’s fans have been of the opinion that Ommy has betrayed his friend’s trust by dating his ex.

In some of the pictures, Ommy and Wema are kissing and holding each other in both public and private settings. The photos are presumed to have been leaked by Wema.

Fans took to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to criticise Ommy’s “betrayal”.

“Oh God, isn’t this your in-law? quipped one fan.

In his defense, Ommy has categorically stated that it is premature to judge him on the issue, saying that the only thing happening between him and Wema is “just work”.

Speaking to Tanzanian Clouds FM radio, Ommy, who has featured Wema in his latest single, “Wanjera”, said he is clear in his mind that Diamond, who has chosen to remain silent, has no problem with his actions because his attention is on Zari.

“I really think and believe that Diamond does not mind me working with Wema because he is more focused on Zari than the latter. He is with Zari, right? Why would he mind again about Wema, with whom it didn’t work out? Guys need to go easy on all this, besides our in-law Zari is pregnant and the last thing that we all need is such unnecessary pressure,” Ommy stated.
