KEEP SUPPORTING GROUP

Ms Owoko urged fans to keep supporting the all-male music group in its race to the MTV Europe Award nomination.

“We are confident that #KOT will do the required tweeting for the group to receive this nomination. It is just not for the group but for Kenya,” added Ms Owoko.

To nominate the group for the prestigious award, fans are required to tweet using the hashtags #NominateSautiSol and #MTVEMA.

Sauti Sol hopes to be nominated in the Best African Act category, where the group with most tweets will receive a nomination in the category as "Wild Cards" on September 16.

The four confirmed nominees in the Best African Act are Nigeria’s Davido, Tanzania’s Diamond, South Africa’s Goldfish and Togo’s Toofan.

The search for the 5th nominee is now on and Kenyans should tweet to have the group triumph South Africa’s Mafikizolo and Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage among other shortlisted artists.
