Veteran rapper Bamboo, brother of “Prokoto” hitmaker Victoria Kimani, finally seems to have found a way of making a comeback.

Speaking to Nation.co.ke, Bamboo, who carved a name for himself several years ago with hits such as “Usilete Compe” and “Kabinti”, confessed that since coming back home he has been trying very hard to re-enter the music industry without success and that’s why he has opted to try something else.

RADIO SHOW
Bamboo confirmed that he would soon begin a new gig as a radio presenter on a city-based radio station, where he will be host a hip hop talk show.

“Many people keep asking me if I have quit music simply because I have been quiet for a while.

All I want to say is that music is in me and my silence does not mean I am out. The silence is because so many things are happening behind the scenes.

“For instance, I am in talks with two radio stations to start a hip hop show that will be purely discussing how Kenyan hip hop started and (has) evolved over the years,” he said.

According to the rapper, he will hit the airwaves within three weeks if things go according to plan.
