What you need to know:

  • The fact that you don't see her on media doesn't mean she is not doing well.
  • She is pretty much busy to an extent that at times when I want us to have a studio session together, she is never available.

Nazizi, who made one third of the hit group Necessary Noize that also had singer Wyre and rapper Bamzigi, has had her fair share of up and downs with the latest being her divorce.

She came back to the limelight a few years ago well when she shed a lot of weight in a bid to embrace a healthier existence after taking a hiatus to focus on family.

The efforts she has made so far to rekindle her once-flourishing career have however not borne fruit, if radio airplay were to be used as a measure of success.

She released the mildly successful “Bring back the noise”, “254”, “Wedding ring” and “Over You” and then went silent.

Speaking to Nation.co.ke, Wyre has jumped to her defence, slamming rumours that have been whirling around Kenyan Showbiz circles that claimed she was struggling musically, insisting that she still on high demand.

“I would differ with that, I don't think Naz is struggling. You would be shocked the number of times Naz has gigs in Coast, TZ (Tanzania) or Uganda. Right now she is in Norway for a concert tour. She has actually been very busy.
The fact that you don't see her on media doesn't mean she is not doing well. She is pretty much busy to an extent that at times when I want us to have a studio session together, she is never available. What does that tell you, that there is demand for her music,” he said.
