  • Retailing for Sh38,000, the Grand 2 offers the owner a lighter and thinner smartphone with a larger 5.25-inch user interface.

In a battle for dominance in the smartphone market, Samsung has introduced Galaxy Grand 2 to Kenya.

The South Korean electronics manufacturer brought in the upgraded version of the phone to woo middle- and low-income consumers who would want a large-screened gadget — like its Note series — for half the price.

Lighter and thinner

Retailing for Sh38,000, the Grand 2 offers the owner a lighter and thinner smartphone with a larger 5.25-inch user interface.

It has dual SIM capabilities, multi-window ability, multi-task, and group play for sharing of pictures, documents, games, and songs.

Its faux leather texture and stitching — similar to the Note 3 — gives it a premium look and feel.
