Nakuru crowns Miss Corporate World 2014

Ms Natasha Wangare is the inaugural Miss Corporate World Nakuru County 2014.

Wangare was crowned after beating a field of ten finalists during an auspicious and exciting event held on Saturday night at the prestigious Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru town organised by Ashley’s Events.

Wangare, who is an alumna of Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy, was sponsored by Nakuru-based Rift Motors, while Bernadette Akuam, sponsored by Avenue Healthcare, was second.

The third position was taken by Ms Janet Nyambura, sponsored by Nakuru-based Valentine Cake House.

Wangare has been working with Frooty Juices, located near the JKUAT campus in Nakuru Town.

BEAUTY MEETS BRAINS

She was awarded a cash prize of Sh100,000 and other goodies, with Ms Akuam winning Sh50,000 and Ms Nyambura Sh25,000.

Speaking after the awards, Ms Wangare said she aspires to be a journalist.

Wangare was crowned the best contestant in interpreting the theme of the Miss Corporate Kenya Event.

The theme of the event was “Where Beauty Meets Brains”, and the pageantry was asked to answer questions related to “How Well Do You Know Your Company”, of which Nguyai also emerged the top winner.

Ashley’s Co-Director Ms Julie Chege expressed delight at the turnout to the event, which attracted numerous sponsors, who made the event successful.

Some of the sponsors of the event included Paris-Gray, Valentines Cake House, Rift Motors, Docu Care company, Radio Amani, Avenue Health Care and Ashley's.

The event had drawn participants from the business community with representation from the county government.

“We shall be back next year with similar and better prizes”, said Ms Chege.
