Wheeling it in hell

• RUPI MANGAT spends time with a group of enthusiastic Kenyans out to raise funds for Hell’s Gate national park in a very innovative way

At one time commonly found around Kenya’s mountains, there’s only one pair suspected to be in the Cherangani hills. Lammergeyers need high bare cliffs. The huge birds drop the bones of their quarry from high above where on impact, the bones smash open, allowing the bird to feed on the marrow.
