The officers in the case are Administration Police Constable Simon Mwandiki Festus, based at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Bomet.

Police said he was found in Nairobi with Sh100,000, the motor vehicle used in the robbery— a white Subaru with registration number KBV 060M— and a pair of handcuffs.
