Police block roads to restrict motorists’ movement near Parliament

Police have restricted movement of vehicles on roads around Parliament in new security measures.

Nairobi Traffic Commandant Edward Mwamburi said motorists' movement to the Parliament area had to be regulated for security reasons.

“We are regulating the flow of traffic in the city especially around the parliament for security reasons,” he said.

No vehicles will be allowed to drive on the stretch on Harambee Avenue between Vigilance House and Uhuru Highway.
