Big win for ‘Nation’ readers

Nation Media Group on Monday launched its latest competition that will offer Daily Nation readers a chance to win 10 pick-ups and millions of shillings in cash and other prizes.

All you have to do to win in the competition dubbed ‘Ni Kusoma na Kudrive’ is buy a copy of your favourite newspaper — the Daily Nation — fill in the forms and deposit the entry coupon at any NMG bureau or outlet nearest to you.

Mr Andrew Endovo, NMG’s Acting Marketing Director said that besides the pick-ups, there will be lots of cash prizes running into millions of shillings, newspaper subscriptions as well as 100 smart phones to be won.

Readers will be rewarded with cash prizes of about Sh2.5 million.

Newspaper vendors are not left behind as 200 of them will also walk away with Sh1 million in cash prizes.

“The pick-up trucks will be our grand prize. And they will be given across the region so to enable all Kenyans have an equal opportunity of winning...this also applies to our other prizes,” he said on Monday.

The regional draws to pick winners from various parts of the country will be held between August 1 and 15, while the grand draw will be held on September 27, which will mark the climax of the three month-long promotion.

Draws to identify the winners will be held every month in different counties.

The competition will be used to thank Daily Nation consumers for their in building the vibrant news product, Mr Endovo said.

“The Daily Nation newspaper has consistently delivered unmatched content for more than five decades and we have all our consumers to thank for the phenomenal growth we have seen. As such, we would like to come back to you and say Asante (Thank you),” he said.

OVER THE YEARS

NMG’s Chief Operating Officer Tom Mshindi paid glowing tribute to Daily Nation readers and advertisers over the years, saying this had made NMG the most successful newspaper group in the region.

“The fact that you have consistently supported us by also listening to our radio stations and watching our television broadcasts is something we don’t take for granted,” Mr Mshindi said.

“And beyond this, we do acknowledge the fact that we must give back. This promotion is exactly that.”
