Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has reshuffled four senior police officers in a move to boost security.

The new North Eastern police chief is Henry Barmao from police headquarters.

He replaces former North Eastern Regional Coordinator (RC) Mr Charlton Mureithi who has been moved to City Hall in Nairobi to be in charge of the newly created Security and Compliance section.

The new Eastern police boss is Mr Yaa Baya, formerly the Chief Licencing Officer. He replaces Marcus Ochola who has been moved to Kenya Police Training College as the deputy commandant.
