The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has suspended its deputy CEO Michael Mubea.

Mr Mubea, who was also the deputy secretary, was sent on forced leave on Monday evening to pave the way for investigations into allegations of office malpractice.

EACC chairman Mumo Matemu confirmed that the deputy CEO was asked to step aside for 30 days.

Mr Mubea joined the anti-graft agency in 2013.

He was in charge of the entire EACC operations, including directorates of investigations, prevention and legal services.

Mr Mubea was the deputy of Secretary and CEO Halakhe Dida Waqo.
