The anti-graft commission has postponed summonses to senior Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) officials, who were to be questioned Thursday.

The MD Joe Sang and Company Secretary Gloria Khafafa were among the eight employees who had been summoned for questioning over alleged corruption on the procurement of a new equipment to monitor the pipeline.

β€œIt is true they called us but then they have abruptly called it off again on grounds that the officers who were to interview us were not available,” Mr Sang told the Nation.

According to Mr Sang, the summonses concerned the procurement of equipment by the company.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission officials did not respond to the Nation on the matter.

The company has also been recently on the news for bad reasons after claims that its senior officials allegedly stole 300,000 litres of fuel from the storage, and the cost of the same passed over to consumers.
