Parents set to shed exam fee load next year

Secondary schools should, in 2015, charge the fees they levied this year, Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi has directed.

Consultations, he said, were ongoing on a report of the task force that seeks to slash the cost of education in Kenya.

The task force was chaired by former Education Assistant Minister Kilemi Mwiria.

The CS repeated that day schools that have not raised a minimum of two streams would be merged.
