Former NYS boss Nelson Githinji has been charged in a new corruption case in which he is accused of using Sh 497,355 in public funds to service his private vehicle.

Prosecutors claimed that on June 4, 2014 at NYS headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi, he used public funds to service and repair his personal car, with registration number KBS 475S.

Mr Githinji was charged alongside his former personal assistant, Mr Nicholas Juma Makhokha, and Mr Geoffrey Kimani Kiriha, a senior superintendent mechanic at the NYS.
