Former ministers Noah Wekesa, Chris Okemo back in Public Service

  • Mr Okemo has been appointed to be a member of the board of Kenya Seed Company for a period three years with effect from March 23.
  • Dr Wekesa will serve as the chairman of Bukura Agricultural College for a period of three years with effect from March 16.
  • They both lost in the 2013 General Election.

Former Cabinet ministers Chris Okemo and Noah Wekesa are back in public service.

Mr Okemo has been appointed to the board of the Kenya Seed Company as a member for a period of three years with effect from March 23.

Dr Wekesa will serve as the chairman of Bukura Agricultural College for a period of three years with effect from March 16.

The appointments were made by Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei in the Kenya Gazette on Friday.

Mr Okemo served as Finance minister in the Narc administration under President Mwai Kibaki, while Dr Wekesa was Wildlife and Forestry minister.

They both lost in the 2013 General Election.

Mr Okemo lost to Busia Senator Amos Wako while Dr Wekesa lost to Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba.
