GSU officers suspected to be behind robberies in Embakasi arrested

Two General Service Unit (GSU) officers were on Friday evening arrested in Donholm, Nairobi on suspicion of being involved in robberies.

The two officers are suspected to be behind the robberies within Buruburu and Embakasi estates in Nairobi.

They allegedly robbed a man of Sh89,000 before they were caught.

One of the officers is a drill instructor at the GSU Training School while his colleague is attached to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Detectives are also tracking down another GSU officer based in Kilgoris who is also suspected to be a member of the gang.

The two suspects were taken to Embakasi Police station.

Police say the two had been arrested a few months ago but the matter was sorted out amicably between the complainant and the officers.
