The Kenya Medical Training College Garissa Campus was shut down Saturday.

College principal Omar Osman said they closed the college after the Garissa County Commissioner said the government had no security personnel to deploy to the institution that housed 250 students.

“We were told the government has no such arrangements,” he said.
