The Judiciary Chief Registrar, Mrs Gladys Shollei has written to the Judicial Service Commission saying she is ready to appear before it October 15 to answer to questions raised against her.

Mrs Shollei says she had sent a request for extension of time through the Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga but has not received a response from him or the JSC.

“I kindly request a response. However I will be ready to appear before JSC , to give my answers on Tuesday October 15 or any day thereafter at your convenience,” she says.

Mrs Shollei has also requested that the presentation and deliberations of her answers be conducted in public with full media coverage.

Last month, the JSC opted for an out-of-court settlement with Mrs Shollei after she went to court to block her employer from commencing investigations against her.

The consent offered express formula of dealing with an internal fallout bred out of an administrative squabble between the commission, some of its officials and the registrar.

It allowed Mrs Shollei be allowed to return to work but be subjected to independent investigations by two local firms to authenticate the allegations against her.
