Police are looking for a housekeeper suspected of stabbing to death a one and a half-year-old child in Kwa Nyama estate, Riruta, in Nairobi.
The mother told the police she left the child with the maid at 6am on Tuesday.
She returned home from work at 6pm the same day and found the housekeeper missing.
She said she found the body of her child lying on a bed with cuts in the face, legs and back.
A suitcase, two litres of cooking fat, three kilograms of sugar, four kilos of rice, and Sh2,000 were also missing.
