‘Illegal connections’ cause huge fire in Kibra

Firefighters from the Nairobi County are battling a huge fire that broke out in structures along Karanja road near Kibera Primary School.
Preliminary reports from the chief of criminal investigations Phyllis Kanina indicate that the fire could have been caused by an electric fault.
“We have established there were illegal power connections at the scene,” said Ms Kanina.
No deaths and injuries have been reported so far.
