KCSE results to be released Monday

The results of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams will be released on Monday next week and not Tuesday as earlier announced.

Communication from the Ministry of Education stated that the date was brought forward due to unavoidable circumstances.

Regretting any inconveniences caused, Ms Frida Were, the Education Ministry head of public communication said Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi will preside over the function at Mitihani House.
Over 450,000 students sat for their KCSE last year.
Candidates will still access their results by logging onto the council’s website www.knec.ac.ke by keying their index numbers, Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) secretary Paul Wasanga has said, adding, results will also be got by sending a text message with the index number to 22252, immediately after Prof Kaimenyi announces the results.

“Upon receipt of the examination results, thoroughly scrutinize the results for correctness and ensure accuracy of the names, index number and gender, school name and code,” read the communiqué.

“Any discrepancy noted on exam results should be communicated to Knec as a query within one month from the date of release of the examination results.”
Those who want their papers remarked should also lodge a complaint within the same period.
