Two injured in KDF helicopter crash

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) helicopter crashed in Lamu County critically injuring two pilots on board.

According to KDF spokesman David Obonyo, the crash happened between 6pm and 6.30pm when the helicopter lost power as it attempted to land.

Colonel Obonyo said that the pilots were returning to the KDF camp in Boni Forest after a routine patrol.

In March, two KDF pilots escaped uninjured when they crash landed their plane in Lamu County after it developed mechanical problems midflight.
