Ousted Deputy Inspector-General Grace Kaindi has accused her juniors of blocking her from accessing office even after a court reinstated her.

Through her lawyers, she has written to Inspector-General Joseph Boinnet and National Police Service Commission chairman Johnston Kavuludi expressing her frustration.

“We understand your officers have totally refused, failed and or ignored the court order and, in fact, have given very specific instructions to your officers to block our client from gaining access to her office, which amounts to impunity and contempt of valid court orders,” says a letter from J A Guserwa Advocates.

The advocates further threaten to sue the IG for contempt of court.

“Unless you comply with the court orders aforesaid forthwith we will cite you for contempt of court at your risk as to the consequences flowing there from,” the letter adds.

Ms Kaindi was reinstated by the Employment and Labour Relations Court, which temporarily suspended police commission’s decision to retire her.

The judge also stopped the recruitment of her successor.
