Kenya Power staff dies from electrocution in Kisumu

A Kenya Power employee died from electrocution while another was injured as the two were repairing a transformer fault on the outskirts of Kisumu on Thursday night.

The injured employee is stable and recovering at Avenue Hospital in Kisumu, Kenya Power said in a statement on Friday.

The company said the two employees were among a team of three doing normal repair work on an isolated line.

The company said investigations on the incident are under way.

“The company regrets the occurrence and will do everything possible to support the affected families,” it said.
