Kenya has already paid Sh1.4 billion to two Anglo Leasing firms owned by Annure Perrera through a UK law firm.

Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge said the amount was paid on Monday, May 19 to the Natwest Bank account of Travers Smith, LLP, the British law firm.

Speaking to the National Assembly's Parliamentary Accounts Committee, Dr Thugge said he did not have the signed and sealed directive from State House but he was told that it was there.

He acted on the basis of a statement from presidential spokesman Manoah Esipisu.
