Deputy President William Ruto has told off MPs planning to impeach Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.

The Deputy President said Ms Waiguru should be left alone as only he, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Public Service Commission are responsible for appointments and transfer of public officials.

Ms Waiguru has been under fire for transferring former National Youth Service director Kiplimo Rugut from her docket to the Ministry of Sports.

She is also accused of being behind the sacking of former Youth Enterprise chairman Gor Semelango.

Mr Ruto defended her on Saturday saying, “If you have questions about Rugut, ask me or President (Kenyatta). Not Waiguru. Mambo ya kufuata mtu mdogo wacheni kabisa. In any case, Rugut has not been been sacked. He has been transferred.”

The Deputy President told everyone to “mind their own business and stop meddling in other’s affairs” as it was distracting service delivery.
