  • He  told a  startled  gathering of  security agencies and stakeholders of  an incident on Saturday night where about 50 youths were rounded up in a swoop only to be  released later without any charges after parting with Sh1,000 each

“There is a big problem at Karatina Police Station, It is unacceptable that my people are losing their lives and property yet no action is taken, as an MP my mandate is to ensure the security of my people,  and when I raise these issues nobody should think that I’m fighting them, I’m merely doing my job” he said

Mr Thiong’o, who is also the chairman of the security committee told residents to expect radical changes in the security situation in the next three weeks
