Mentally ill mother beheads nine-month old daughter

Police in Nakuru are holding a mentally sick woman after she beheaded her nine-month-old girl moments after she was discharged from a local hospital.
Nakuru Divisional Police Commander, Bernard Kioko said that investigations had been launched after villagers at Lalwet area in the outskirts of Nakuru Town reported that the woman had been seen with bloodied hands.
Her neighbours then entered her house and were shocked to find the baby lying on the ground with her neck slit open.
The woman was arrested and escorted to Nakuru Central Police Station where she is being held while the body of the child was taken to Nakuru Municipal Morgue.
