Meru School posts best results in its history

Meru School has posted the best results since it was founded in 1956.

Students and teachers danced after learning that 32 candidates scored straight As. The school had a mean score of 9.8.

Ted Mbogo scored an A of 84 points while Anthony Mutwiri, got straight As of 82 points.

“I attribute my success to hardwork, perseverance, tolerance and belief in hard work,” Mutwiri told the Nation.

Nicholas Mwithiga was also among to the top performers with an A- of 78 points.

In total, the school had 32 (As), 71 (A-), B+ (79), B (64), B- (35), C+(12), C (8).

MANY FACTORS

School Principal Silas Mwirigi said last year’s results were the school’s best ever.

“We attribute this success to very many factors key among them the unity between the teachers and students,” Mr Mwirigi said.

Another top performer from Meru, St Mary’s Igoji Girls High School, had a mean score of 9.5.

Sixteen candidates scored A-. Moses Murithi Marangu from Moi High School Mbiruri in Embu County scored a plain A of 84 points.

Speaking at Kathigiri Boarding Public Primary School where he has been a volunteer teacher, Murithi said hard work, determination, ambition and prayers did it for him.

“I knew I would pass but not this well,” he said.
