The case against fake doctor James Mugo Ndichu, alias Mugo wa Wairimu, will be mentioned on Thursday at the Milimani Law Courts.

Mr Ndichu faces 11 separate charges, including rape.

Mugo wa Wairimu, as he is better known, allegedly raped a woman at his Prestige Health Care clinic in Githurai 44 on November 1, 2014.

He was arrested on September 10, 2015 at the Gitungo Hotel in Limuru, Kiambu County, after Citizen TV aired a video showing a sedated woman being sexually assaulted in a hospital examination bed.

Besides the rape charge, he also faces charges of administering a sedative and 10 counts of operating unregistered clinics.

He was on October 5, 2015, released on a bond of Sh5 million with an alternative of a cash bail of Sh1 million.

He secured his freedom by depositing a title deed in court, having been in custody for days after failing to pay the cash bail

Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions Jacinta Nyamosi and an investigating officer verified and confirmed that the title deed was genuine before Senior Principal Magistrate Joyce Ghandani directed jail authorities to release the suspect pending the hearing and determination of his case.
