NMG finalist for African digital awards

Nation Media Group (NMG) is a finalist in more than half of the African Digital Media Award 2017 categories.

The media house has been shortlisted in seven categories out of a total of 10.

NMG will be competing against other media houses for these awards.

The categories are: Best in Lifestyle, Sports or Entertainment Website; Best Use of Online Video (Including VR); Best Data Visualisation; Best News Mobile Service; Best Innovation New Product; Best Digital Advertising Campaign (including Branded Content); and Best Innovation to Engage Youth Audiences.

The other three categories, where other local and foreign media houses were shortlisted, include: Best News Website; Best Lifestyle, Sports or Entertainment Mobile Services; and Best in Social Media Engagement.

The other local media house that has been shortlisted is Standard Group Ltd, which will be fighting for Best News Website; and Best in Lifestyle, Sports or Entertainment Website.

Standard faces three media houses in each of the categories.

Other shortlisted media houses in the 10 categories include: Media24, Cape Town, South Africa; Media Trust Ltd, Abuja, Nigeria and BBC Media Action, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
