Neno Evangelism Centre Pastor James Ng’ang’a was involved in an accident with a matatu on Saturday at Gitaru in Kikuyu.

Police, however, said the 3.15pm accident was not investigated since no one was injured.

Officers said the complainant did not record a statement, claiming he had sorted out the matter amicably with Pastor Ng’ang’a, who paid for the damages.

Kikuyu police Birgen Kiptoo Sunday told the Daily Nation the motorists were driving from Nakuru towards Nairobi when the pastor abruptly changed lanes, hitting the other car.

Pastor Ng’ang’a’s silver BMW and the matatu were damaged.

The matatu almost landed in a ditch and the angry passengers got out of the matatu and threatened to attack the pastor.

“Mr Ng’ang’a admitted he was to blame and since the other motorist said he did not want to pursue the case, we did not record their statements,” said the police boss.

The motorists drove to Kikuyu Police Station to inform officers they had reached an agreement. Three officers were present.

In August, the pastor was charged for causing the death of a woman through dangerous driving.
