Two billboards with photographs of wanted suspected terrorism suspects were Thursday placed along major streets in Mombasa.

Pictures of five people in the billboard were released by police on April 4 after Al-Shabaab terrorists killed 148 people at Garissa University College on April 2.

It is illegal to put up such boards in Mombasa without the permission of the county government. Interestingly, by 6pm Thursday, they had not been pulled down.

The billboards appear to have been reproduced from police posters and bear the names of the suspects and the Kenya Police Service coat of arms.
