Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan left the country Saturday morning after a three day state visit.

He was making the first official visit to Kenya by a Nigerian leader in a quarter of a century.

He was accompanied by the Nigerian First Lady Dr. Patience Jonathan and a delegation including top business persons from Nigeria.

The Nigerian Head of State held fruitful bilateral and trade talks with his host President Uhuru Kenyatta which culminated into signing of seven trade agreements.

President Jonathan’s visit drastically improves the ties between the two nations deemed as economic power houses in their respective regions.

Before his departure, the Nigerian Head of State inspected a colourful guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Kenyan Army at State House grounds, Nairobi.
