President Kenyatta nominates Patrick Ngugi Njoroge as CBK governor

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday nominated Dr Patrick Ngugi Njoroge as the next Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) governor.

Dr Njoroge will replace Prof Njuguna Ndung’u at the helm of the institution if his nomination is approved.

“His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday nominated Dr Patrick Ngugi Njoroge as the next Central Bank of Kenya Governor,” a State House communication said.

“The President said he had forwarded Dr Njoroge’s name to Parliament for vetting,” read the statement.
