A Kenya Prisons Service officer attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) as a driver has been arrested after investigations revealed that he was the driver of the ministry's Nissan Urvan that was used in the stealing of 200 iPhones.

Officer Martin Mwangi Njeri will be charged jointly with two other suspects — Betty Wangui Nderitu and Felix Kipyegon Langat — with at least three different counts.

Detectives say the three will face charges Wednesday morning of obtaining iPhones through false pretence, making documents without authority, conspiracy to defraud and impersonation.
