Pupils killed in Webuye road accident

Five people including four pupils of St Mukasa Primary School in Webuye have died after being hit by a truck.
The accident at Shimoyi trading centre, a few kilometres from Webuye town, occurred after the truck hit a tractor carrying sugarcane before the driver lost control.
The truck then hit a boda boda (motorcycle) before ploughing into the group of schoolchildren who were going home for lunch.
The truck which was carrying stones then overturned, with some children trapped underneath it.
An unknown number of students were injured in the incident.
