Two parents, whose secondary school-going children went missing for four days before they were found on Monday, recounted the harrowing ordeal of searching for their daughters.

The two girls, both in Form Two, were supposed to have reported to school on Tuesday last week but disappeared before getting to the school.

One of the parents, who spoke to the Nation in Naivasha on Monday, said he was informed by the school’s administration that his daughter had not reported back to school.

“I immediately embarked on a search mission until Saturday morning, when I was informed that she had been found at a house in Naivasha,” said the parent.

He said his daughter and her friend were lured into a man’s house after they were stranded in Naivasha Town.

“From what I have gathered, the man promised to offer them a place to sleep,” he said.

OFFERED CHIPS

The man was joined by his friend on Wednesday morning and then proceeded to offer the girls chips and soft drinks.

“It is at this point that the two lost consciousness after taking the drinks which we believe were spiked,” said the parent.

He said medical records indicate that one of the teenagers was sexually abused but she could not recall what happened.

“The two are still dazed, which I believe was a result of the drugs,” he added.

The parents urged police to investigate the matter and bring the suspects to book.

A senior officer at the Naivasha Police Station said one of the suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.
