  • Through lawyer Hannington Omondi, the LSK claimed that Mr Nzenze and Mr Mambo went missing on June 1, at about 4pm, after being ‘arrested’ by three Administration Police officers attached to the Kawangware Chief’s camp.

The High Court on Friday summoned three Administration Police officers over the disappearance of a boda boda rider and his passenger at Kawangware, Nairobi, last month.

Justice Isaac Lenaola also ordered officers Simon Mbau Mureithi, Benson Simiyu and Kennedy Njoroge, alias Njoro, to produce the missing persons in court within 24 hours pending the hearing and determination of the case.

“The order requiring the said officers to produce the missing persons whether alive or dead is hereby issued. They should also appear before Justice Edward Muriithi on July 26 for further orders,” he said.

The Law Society of Kenya had moved to court on Thursday seeking to unravel the alleged mysterious disappearance of a motorcycle operator, Mr Brian Nzenze, and his pillion passenger Mr Ericsson Aluda Mambo.

Through lawyer Hannington Omondi, the LSK claimed that Mr Nzenze and Mr Mambo went missing on June 1, at about 4pm, after being ‘arrested’ by three Administration Police officers attached to the Kawangware Chief’s camp.

The lawyer’s body alleged that their lives “are in great danger and that their continued missing status is a gross violation of their rights”.

The LSK also argued that the unexplained whereabouts had caused their families untold emotional distress.

Eyewitnesses say the missing duo were allegedly last seen being bundled into a waiting Land Cruiser — registration number GKA 875X — driven by officer Njoro before it sped off to an unknown destination.
