President Uhuru Kenyatta visits late Ntimama’s family

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday visited the family of the late veteran politician William ole Ntimama in Lavington, Nairobi.

President Kenyatta said the government would give the late former minister a befitting send-off.

He said Mr Ntimama was a national leader and deserved to be treated as such.

"We have told the family that my government will help in the funeral arrangements. Mzee Ntimama was a national leader and he deserves a decent send-off," said President Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta was accompanied by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, former Kanu-era minister Nicholas Biwott, MPs and leaders from Narok, Kajiado and Samburu counties.

Mr Biwott said the late national heritage minister was his close friend.

"He has come to harambees in my village and has helped build three schools there," said Mr Biwott.

Mr Ntimama will be buried at the family's graveyard at his Motonyi home in Narok County next Wednesday.
