RELEASED ON CASH BAIL

They were released on a cash bail of Sh5,000 each until the hearing on June 22.

And, in the same court, a second year student, Erick Otieno, was fined Sh200 or two days in jail for being at the Nairobi Railway Station illegally at night.

Otieno told Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi that he was arrested after escorting his mother to board a train Nyanza to attend a funeral.

“I had no criminal mind at all. My mother had just boarded the Kisumu-bound train when I was arrested around 9.15 pm. I plead for mercy,” Otieno said.
